busybox-static software package provides Standalone rescue shell with tons of builtin utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install busybox-static
busybox-static is installed in your system.
Make ensure the busybox-static package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep busybox-static *
You will get with busybox-static package name, version, architecture and description in a table
